Thinking ahead to Holiday Market Place?
Would you like a special way to display your business card?
Check out this unique workshop!
Start by developing a design (or a couple of designs) for business card holders. The basic
construction will be completed during the course. Depending on the complexity of
individual designs, some may complete the business card holders (except for final sanding
and finishing), others may complete the first round or two of detailing. Students must
bring finish-milled lumber to the start of class. 2” tall stock will be turned into horizontal
business card format holders, 2 3⁄4” tall stock lends itself to card holders with a verticalformat. A 12” piece of stock will yield 3 horizontal business card holders.

Spoon carving class with Annie Meyer of Annie Meyer Studios.
Create a spoon out of locally fallen branches. Watch demonstrations on how to split a log using a froe, and how to rough out a spoon blank with a carving axe. Carve your spoon into a final form of your own design using only one straight and one curved knife. Finish your spoon using an oil and beeswax mixture.
